We have lived in this house for 22 years:
It is in Audubon Place, a small piece of Montrose in Houston, TX. It is in the best part of Houston, one that is walkable and filled with interesting people and things to do. It was completed in 1915
We just bought this house:
It is in the Historic Water Tower neighborhood two blocks from Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, WI. It is also in a walkable neighborhood that is filled with interesting people and things to do. This house was designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright, finished in 1917.
This will be the story about how and why we have decided to become, as I describe it above, "Bicoastal" this late in life. But since the coasts in involved are the Gulf Coast, and Lake Michigan, I am cleverly calling this "Bicoastal in Flyover Country" to reflect our peculiar circumstances.
Stay tuned.
